Curved stairlifts are more expensive as they require custom building and will take longer to install than a straight stairlift. They are more complex in that the bending rail system follows the contours of the staircase and this requires a more sophisticated and very accurate survey of the staircase to ensure the system is crafted and installed to meet the exact requirements.
